On August 29, 2007, the University Police of the University of Maryland-Baltimore issued a personal safety alert notifying students of the armed robbery of a UMB employee that occurred at about 2:20pm on August 26 in the 200 block of
The victim was robbed of his cell phone and money by several suspects, one of whom concealed a hand in his pocket implying that he was armed with a weapon. The men were described as thin black males ranging from 17 to 19 years of age.
This incident is one of several robberies that took place in the downtown
