UMB Employee Robbed Near Campus

On August 29, 2007, the University Police of the University of Maryland-Baltimore issued a personal safety alert notifying students of the armed robbery of a UMB employee that occurred at about 2:20pm on August 26 in the 200 block of W. Lexington St.  

 

The victim was robbed of his cell phone and money by several suspects, one of whom concealed a hand in his pocket implying that he was armed with a weapon.  The men were described as thin black males ranging from 17 to 19 years of age.  

 

This incident is one of several robberies that took place in the downtown Baltimore area east of the UMB campus that are being investigated by the Baltimore City Police Department.
